Aircraft Maintenance Military Transition Apprentice

POSITION PURPOSE
Supports Aircraft on Ground (AOG), Maintenance and Supply Chain with critical part requirements by fulfilling variable demands that impact the operation. Analyzes need and sources aircraft parts, initiates purchase orders, expedites existing orders and coordinates logistics to meet immediate and future requirements.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE.
PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Aviation, Supply Chain, Materials Management, Purchasing, etc. Prefer at least 3 years of experience in airline industry.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Able to read, analyze, and interpret general technical information, manufacturer’s manuals and parts manuals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, internal customers, and suppliers.
REASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY
Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
DECISION MAKING
Makes decisions daily on use of resources. Decisions could require additional expenditure of resources if not sound decisions.
