Strategic Planning Specialist

The role

POSITION PURPOSE

Assist in coordinating and planning maintenance activities and ensuring modifications are incorporated to meet compliance timelines for Airworthiness Directives (AD), Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs), and management goals.

  • Creates preliminary work scope for heavy maintenance visits and provides to Strategic Planning manager or designee.
  • Participates in the audit process of data sets and assists in creation of various plans.
  • Creates, prints, and releases work packages for Heavy Check, Paint, and MOD (modification) visits.
  • Ensure Induction date in Maintenance Software Database matches Summary report.
  • Ensure Return to Service dates on MRO (Maintenance Repair Overhaul vendor) reports concur with Summary report
  • Ensure the RTS dates in Maintenance Control Software concurs with Summary report.
  • Produce daily report showing a/c swap details with next drop-dead task and date.
  • Update Aging Aircraft and Wi-Fi reports.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE.

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years related experience in aviation, planning, or data analysis.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint required.
  • Must be able to multitask and be detail oriented

PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE.

  • 3 Years of aircraft maintenance planning experience.
  • Previous airline experience preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

REASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

DECISION MAKING

Makes day to day decisions used to support strategic direction. Decisions often require some thought and are somewhat structured. Decisions tend to be short term and usually of moderate cost.

Able to travel up to 10% of the time.
