POSITION PURPOSE
Provides flight, simulator, and ground instruction in accordance with Part 61 and 141, FAA regulations, Airmen’s Information Manual, advisory circulars, airport operations, and LIFT Academy policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

- Performs flight instructor duties authorized by the Federal Aviation Regulations in accordance with the approved Training Course Outline.
- Ensures that course standards, training requirements, and objectives are met by all assigned students as required by the Training Course Outline.
- Reports on student progress and accurately maintains and updates all appropriate records.
- Monitors the maintenance condition of the training aircraft and informs LIFT maintenance associates of any questionable items.
- Recommends and develops curriculum and courseware improvements when appropriate.
- Attends administrative, standardization, in-service training, and instructor development meetings as assigned.
- Performs facilities tours and familiarizes customers with LIFT Academy’s policies, procedures, and flight training courses.
- May assist with new teaching methods.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Ability to teach and perform well in classroom setting. Computer skills are required.
- Aircraft piloting skills, including familiarity with and ability to perform required flight maneuvers and procedures.
- Knowledge of appropriate Federal Aviation Regulations and related administrative and operational procedures and requirements.
- Strong customer service skills.
PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- G1000 experience is preferred.
- FAA Certified Flight Instructor: Airplane Multi-Engine Land, Instrument.

POSITION PURPOSE
Provides flight, simulator, and ground instruction in accordance with Part 61 and 141, FAA regulations, Airmen’s Information Manual, advisory circulars, airport operations, and LIFT Academy policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Performs flight instructor duties authorized by the Federal Aviation Regulations in accordance with the approved Training Course Outline.
- Ensures that course standards, training requirements, and objectives are met by all assigned students as required by the Training Course Outline.
- Reports on student progress and accurately maintains and updates all appropriate records.
- Monitors the maintenance condition of the training aircraft and informs LIFT maintenance associates of any questionable items.
- Recommends and develops curriculum and courseware improvements when appropriate.
- Attends administrative, standardization, in-service training, and instructor development meetings as assigned.
- Performs facilities tours and familiarizes customers with LIFT Academy’s policies, procedures, and flight training courses.
- May assist with new teaching methods.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Ability to teach and perform well in classroom setting. Computer skills are required.
- Aircraft piloting skills, including familiarity with and ability to perform required flight maneuvers and procedures.
- Knowledge of appropriate Federal Aviation Regulations and related administrative and operational procedures and requirements.
- Strong customer service skills.
PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- G1000 experience is preferred.
- FAA Certified Flight Instructor: Airplane Multi-Engine Land, Instrument.
REGULATORY
- Must be able to pass an initial and on-going drug and alcohol testing program
- Must pass a Federal Background check.

AMT Apprenticeship Program
LIFT Academy, owned by Republic Airways, has created an Aviation Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship Program in partnership with the U.S. Department of Labor. The program takes less than three years to complete. Once licensed, apprentices will be Republic Ready with a defined pathway to Republic as an aviation maintenance technician. Some of the program highlights include:
- Hands-On Training. Apprentices have on-the-job training with LIFT/Republic- licensed maintenance technicians. They also benefit from small class sizes with one-on-one instruction and are prepped for their A&P FAA testing.
- Advanced Technology. Working with state-of-the art tools and technology, apprentices train nose to tail on our Diamond single- and multi-engine DA40 and DA42 aircraft, as well as Republic’s fleet of Embraer 170/175 jets.
- Earn While You Learn. The LIFT aviation maintenance technician program is a paid apprenticeship, so participants are able to earn while they learn the latest in aviation maintenance technology. Health benefits are also part of the program. High school graduates who are mechanically inclined may find this the perfect opportunity.
